CH411, E419, E413, R415, G412, G414 were dispatched at 2:55pm on Thursday to the 18000 block of Cooke Road on the report of a possible residential structure fire.
Upon arrival of CH411 to the scene a single story residence was found with smoke showing from all sides and marked it a working structure fire. Mutual-aid was then requested of an engine and tanker from Johnsville (Sta.59) in Morrow County. The crew of E419 stretched our garden lay hose line to the walkout basement and made entry, finding heavy smoke. Additional 1 ¾” hose lines were deployed to the front door and to a door off the garage. Crews entered the first floor and checked for fire and extension. Only a minimal amount of water was used for suppression.
Water supply was setup at a nearby pond by the crew of G412.
At this time the fire remains under investigation with an undetermined cause.
There were a total of 19 FCFD personnel that responded to the call. There were no injuries of occupants or firefighters. All FCFD units were back in quarters by 5:48pm.
